In deference to the passion and death of Jesus Christ, I have decided to refrain from writing or making comments about the issues of the day, particularly those that are of political complexion.
Instead, I would rather share some meaningful messages which I got from friends the past few days and which I am quoting hereinbelow: “CARING makes life bearable. FAITH makes all things possible. HOPE makes all things work. LOVE makes all things beautiful. SHARING makes the burden light. Have a meaningful Good Friday!” “A Lenten Message: UNDERSTAND when others won’t; FORGIVE when others can’t; CARE when others don’t; and, LOVE despite hardships and pain. Have a meaningful Holy Week”. “Every sacrifice has a fruitful reward; every failure has a second chance. We only have to be strong in faith to persevere in the tests of life”. Have a meaningful sharing the Lord’s burden and sacrifices this Lenten season.” “Let this season of LENT remind us all that this life we have and the material possessions we hold are just being LENT to us. We’re all passerby. We’re not immigrants here. We’re all pilgrims on the road. We bring nothing when we die. But we can leave behind the LOVE we’ve shared, the HOPE we have given and the GOODNESS we’ve done. May we all have a meaningful HOLY WEEK. God bless.” “Kung dili ka, pre, andam sa pagdimdim sa kapait sa apdo sa kinabuhi, ayaw pagtuo nga makalad-ok ka sa katam-is sa dugos sa himaya. A meani!ngfully spiritual Holy Week, Pare!” “Lenten diet: 1. Eat our negative words 2. Swallow our pride 3. Digest God’s teachings 4. Eliminate our ego 5 And for dessert – indulge in prayer. God bless you.” “Just wanna share with you my beautiful msg/prayer. Dear God, Most of us always desire a perfect situation, a perfect life. Yet, You my Lord, do not grant a perfect life. What You give instead is a perfect heart in the midst of an imperfect life. Teach me to be cheerful, hopeful, smiling amidst imperfections and to enjoy Your wondrous blessings every moment in time. Amen. God bless you! Gudnyt.” The above messages are about all I was not able to erase from my inbox but here is another one that may have nothing to do with the Holy Week but I am sure is of utmost interest to most of us. Here it is: “HOW TO STAY YOUNG? 1. Throw out nonessential numbers. This includes AGE, WEIGHT and HEIGHT. 2. Keep learning. Never let brain stay idle. An idle mind is the devil’s workshop. 3. Enjoy the simple things. 4. Laugh often, long and loud until you gasp for breath. 5. The tears happen. Endure, grieve and move on. 6. Surround yourself with what you LOVE, whether it is family, pets, keepsakes, music, plants, hobbies, whatever. 6. Cherish your health. Smile and enjoy life…” WISHING YOU ALL A MEANINGFULLY SPENT HOLY WEEK. Last update : 01-04-2008 15:55
