 MGen. Pajarito interviewed Gen Pajarito was enthroned, July 2, 2007 in Lapuyan during the thanksgiving ceremonies of the newly elected officials. Highest Honor Bestowed by the Subanen in Zamboanga del Sur
As the son of Lapuyan and a "TIMUAY LANGHAP", Pajarito receives the highest honor that the Subanen community can bestow to an individual. Timuay Langhap is the highest rank of a Subanen community. General Pajarito was accepted by the Subanen Council of Elders (Lapuyan, Zamboanga del Sur) led by Timuay Labi Reniel B. Huminis, Timuay Roland H. Lusay, Sr., and Timuay Jessie Imbing assisted by all Timuays of Kumalarang, Vincenzo Sagun, Dumalinao, and Lapuyan.
By authority vested on me by our ancestors, Major General Nehemias G. Pajarito, Commanding General of the 1st Infantry Division, Philippine Army, in accordance to the custom and tradition of the Subanens is hereby confirmed as Timuay Langhap, in recognition for his love and concern to all especially the indigenous people. the confirmation states as read by Datu sa Palau, Hon. Cesar Bael Sulong.
In his message, Major General Pajarito expresses his heartfelt gratitude to the Subanen Council of Elders and the people of the Subanen community.
I had the opportunity to experience and appreciate the rich Subanen culture, the arts, dances, practices and their unwavering respect for elders and ancestors and other beliefs and values which unite them as a people. Their love of peace is what I admire and I believe this should be replicated. As I graciously accept as their son of the Lapuyan Subanen, I would like to assure their leaders, to the Timuays, and everybody who is now present my commitment to uphold the rich tradition of the Subanens and maintain the values that all you adhere to. Graduate of PMA Class 1976 Major General Pajarito who graduated in PMA Class of 1976 is an officer and a gentleman. He served the Philippine Army from 1st lieutenant and received distinguished medals, awards and commendation up to his present position as the commanding General of the Army's premier division, 1st Infantry (Tabak) Division.
