Saloagan, Dimataling,ZDS - The Schools for Living Tradition (SLT) in this place had been successfully implemented and inaugurated with the presence of VG Roy Largo Ariosa whose Cultural Desk has organized and proposed to the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) for its approval.
VG Roy Largo Ariosa who had been supportive to this kind of program establish to cater to the needs of the brother Subanens of Zamboanga del Sur to promote their culture and arts, living traditions, and intellect to further development and acquisition of funds from the NCCA , attended the graduation of the members of “Banding, A Music and Dance School of Living Tradition to transfer the skills and tradition of the older Subanens to their younger generations. Ariosa whose cultural desk under Mrs. Renefe Manginsay-Tremedal , coordinated with the NCCA Project Management Office to implement such program based in the NCCA National Program was given the chance to establish the said School of Living Tradition and receive financial aid to fully develop and implement the program. Banding as a recipient is also an NGO headed by its chair, Datu Sahampong Malanao IV was very enthusiastic to accept the grant. With the NCCA financial assistance of 188-T, Banding now is the first School of Living Tradition that NCCA PMED, Ms. Adel Suemith came to see in person the said NCCA SLT project.
