Pagadian City – City Mayor Samuel S. Co was declared as best Chief Executive in Region-9 during the conduct of “Search for Best Chief Executive-Regional Level” by the office of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Regional Office last September 14, 2007.
Search for Best PESO and Phil-Jobnet Champion It was learned that the Local Employment, DOLE-Manila conducted last year a “Search for Best PESO and Phil-Jobnet Champion” and this year PESO Pagadian was judged as regional winner. The objective of the said program is to give recognition to all Chief Executives regarding their effort in solving unemployment problems by offering job whether local or abroad to the people in their respective localities. DOLE Regional Director Heads Screening The nominees were carefully selected after passing different criteria by the Regional level headed by DOLE Regional Director Carlos L. Boteros. Mayor Sammy Co of Pagadian City was proclaimed as the winner. RD Boteros expressed his heartfelt thanks to City Mayor Co in helping the implementation of DOLE programs by giving job opportunities to the people thru the conduct of a job fair at least two times annually.
