Pagadian City - May 28, 2007 Monday, the 13 candidates for the Search for Miss Pagadian 2007 where presented by the City Tourism Office and the Pagadian City Tourism Council led by its chairwoman Dra. Priscilla "Dicky" Madarang Fernandez and the members together with Mrs. Ilang--ilang Co.
During the flag raising ceremony held right at the Plaza Luz fronting the City Hall with all of its employees the candidates were presented. After the presentation, the thirteen candidates will continue its pictorials to different tourism and city establishment for the promotion of Pagadian City, the candidates are scheduled to have their pictorials in Danlugan Dairy Project, Danlugan Hospital, Saldua’s farm and Macasing Farmer’s Training Center. It maybe recalled that, City Mayor Samuel S. Co who was re-elected mayor of Pagadian, after the May 14 2007 polls, in an interview with the local media said that he will continue his plans for making the city the newest tourism destination of Western Mindanao . " By giving more priorities in the city’s tourism program and projects , Pagadian City will be the next tourism destination in this region, and this is also our preparation for this years Wow "Zamboanga del Sur " Biyahe Na!, which we are hosting together with the Provincial Government of Zamboanga del Sur, this coming September..Mayor Co said.
