{sidebar id=5}Unlike the past beauty pageants, present event organizers decided to involve all sectors in the community instead of requiring municipalities to sponsor their own candidates. Several organizations and institutions submitted their entries  but the Search Committee was so strictly followed the minimum height requirement of the candidate at 5’4” aside from the beauty of face and talent.

As a result only 9 beauties passed the scrutiny of critics for the pageant, they are:

Gretchen May E. Ayco

Candidate No. 1, Ms. Gretchen Mae E. Ayco, representing the Department of Education- Provincial Division is 20 years old, stands 5’4” with vital statistics of 34-26-37.  She is from Dumingag and a student of Western Mindanao State University - Dumingag Campus. Irene O. Monieva

Candidate No. 2, Ms. Irene O. Monieva, 19, representing the Philippine Chamber of Commerce resides at San Jose District, this city. She is 2nd Runner-Up in the Search for Miss Pagadian 2007.  She is a Computer Science student of Southern Mindanao Colleges who coveted the title as Ms. Southern Mindanao Colleges – Athletics 2004.Irene has a beautiful body with 33-26-35 vital statistics. Candidate No. 3, another title holder in her own right is Ms. Anthe Aubrey A. Angcon, 19, from Balangasan District here.  She was crowned as Miss BSN of JH Cerilles State College.Ms. Angcon stands 5ft. and 4 inches with vital statistic of 34-26-35, she is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Vicente B. Bernadeth C. Ones

Candidate No. 4, Miss Bernadeth C. Ones is representing the League of Municipalities in the Philippines - Zambooanga del Sur Chapter. She won the Ms. Guipos 2004. The following year, she bagged the Ms. SMC title and is one of the top 7 candidates in the Search for Ms. Pagadian last year.
