Midsalip, Zamboanga del Sur – At least three persons were seriously wounded out of 15 passangers who sustained slight injuries in a vehicular accident in Barangay Timbaboy, Midsalip on October 8, 2007 at 7:30 early morning.

The driver lost control of his vehicle after the pick-up sideswiped the side of the road and turn-up side down.

Police reports said that one private vehicle Toyota Lite Ace pick-up with plate number MCL 961 driven by its owner, Junenal Buliver Seno, 42 years old, married and a resident of Golictos, Midsalip loaded with 15 passengers, 7 sacks of rice and corn, 3 pigs and assorted items met an accident.

The 12 passengers who were confined at Midsalip Infirmary Hospital were identified as follows, Josefina Maladia, 26years old, Jolly Ruhilig, 34, Mannely Ruhilig, 23, Loreta Maladia, 35, Edgar Cabasag, 36, Simplicia Anacaya, 62, Elvinia Bangal, 76 years old, Nacio Macaraton, 33, Joel Ruhilig, 21, Elsi Angcaya, 31, Dionesio Maladia, 46, Vicente Elom, 76. The three others unidentified were brought and confined at the Aurora General Hospital due to serious injuries.

Police investigation disclosed that the accident was due to mechanical error or defect. The driver voluntarily surrendered to the Midsalip Municipal Police Station.
