Pagadian City – At least 7-suspected illegal gambling operators were arrested in a raid conducted by the Police in Sto. Niño District, Pagadian City at about 8:10 pm on September 8, 2007. Police confiscated from their possession voluminous ballpens, eleven calculators, 3 staplers, carbon papers, one box staple wire, stabilo marker and assorted coins with different dominations and swertres paraphelnalias.
Suspects were identified as Jack Roble Tagaytay, 27 years old, Jearim Mahinay delos Santos, 18 years old, Bemir Betangcol Alagasi, 19 years old, Elmer Sagales Popera, 40 years old, Erwin Mahinay delos Santos, 24 years old, all residents of Purok-6 Calabayan, Ozamiz City, Jay-arr delos Santos Llagas 16 years old resident of Molicay, Ozamiz City, Allan Jueves Tagaytay Jr., 24 years old, resident of Poblacion, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay. {sidebar id=9} The confiscated items were deposited at the supply office of the Police Provincial Office while the 7-suspects were temporarily detained at Camp Abelon lock-up cell. Police operatives of the 905th Provincial Mobile force lead by Police Inspector Homer Dumalag and Police Inspector Amelio Domingo under the supervision of Pagadian COP Police Senior Inspector Oscar Tan Buenaobra said that after a month long surveillance yielded positive results, they immediately applied for a search warrant.
