Dinas, Zamboanga del Sur – A seven year old Grade-1 pupil of Barangay Dimaya, Elemtary School and a resident of the said place was accidentally hit by a single motorcycle at about 5:00pm, September 5, 2007. The boy was reportedly crossing the national highway when struck by the single motorcycle.

The driver, Junaide Adao, 20 years old and a resident of Sitio Butitian Sambulawan, Dinas, on a Suzuki Raider motorcycle color yellow and black, bound from Pagadian City to Dimataling, Zamboanga del Sur when he accidentally bumped the victim. The victim was identified as Xyryx Cabardo y Ellumado who sustained abrasions to different parts of his body.The driver brought immediately the victim to Chavez Medical Clinic for medical treatment and later voluntarily surrendered to the police authorities.

Junaide was released later by the police after both parties with the parents of the victim agreed for amicable settlement of the case provided the driver will shoulder all the expenses occurred in the hospital.
