Dumingag, Zamboanga del Sur - A businessman of cattle died on the spot after he was shot several times by unidentified persons near his house along Plaridel Street, Barangay San Pedro, Poblacion Dumingag on November 12, 2007 at 5:45 early morning.
The victim identified as Alejandro Cadana Raboy, 40 years old, married, and a resident of the said place, sustained multiple gun shot wounds at the different parts of his body. "My father was about to ride his single motorcycle going to his business when the assailant hurriedly came and shot him," the daughter of the victim told the police in the initial investigation. I can not identify the suspect who immediately took a ride on a back-up single motorcycle after shooting my father several times, she added. Police recovered some empty shells of caliber.45 pistol from the crime scene believed used by the suspect. The responding policemen immediately conducted a hot pursuit operation but the suspects could no longer be found. The motive of the crime is believed to be a personal grudge.
