Pagadian City – An Isuzu cargo truck loaded with dried copra worth more or less P300-thousand pesos was carnapped in Maigo, Lanao del Norte on November 18, 2007 at 7:00 o’clock in the evening but was recovered the following day November 19, 2007 at about 5:00 in the afternoon by police operatives here abandoned along the National Highway near the Teresita Sports Complex, Barangay Tiguma.
Police reports said that the Pagadian City Police Operatives headed by COP PSI Oscar Tan Buenaobra together with the elements of 905th PMG responded to a telephone call from a concerned citizen that a cargo truck with color blue and plate number GAT-754 from Sultan Naga Dimaporo enroute to Iligan City, upon reaching at Maigo, Lanao del Norte was allegedly held-up by the unidentified armed persons.
The suspects took over the vehicle and droved towards Pagadian City. Initial investigation said that the driver of the cargo truck was left behind by the suspects at Barangay Taguitic, Aurora, Zamboanga del Sur. The cargo tuck has no more load with copra when recovered abandoned and was properly turned-over to Mr. Aliakdar Dimaporo, registered owner. Last update : 29-12-2007 09:12
