The extent of the disaster and its impact to the whole populace which need fast recovery prompted the CDCC to appropriate P16.5-M out of the P19.5-M calamity fund or the 5% of internal revenue allotment of the city. The P15-M is for the construction of new buildings, P1-M for financial assistance of the affected vendors and another P500-T for the temporary relocation of the vendors. With the huge amount cut from his calamity fund, Mayor Co said he won’t mind having P3-M left (though it’s still on the second quarter of the year), if only to hasten the resumption of normal business at Agora. Nevertheless, the CDCC passed three separate resolutions seeking financial assistance from the Provincial Government of Zamboanga del Sur through Governor Auring E.
