Midsalip, Zamboanga del Sur – A certain Rogelio Calibo Gumba, 61 years old, Dep-Ed Supervisor of Ramon Magsaysay DOST and a resident of Poblacion Midsalip was accidentally hit by his own personal firearm, a caliber 38 revolver, Smith and Wesson on October 29, 2007 at 3:00pm.
Rogelio was hit at his left chest that caused his untimely death. He was brought to Midsalip Infirmary Hospital but was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician. The caliber 38 revolver was recovered by the police authorities from the crime scene. The case is now under investigation to find out if there is other evidence to lead to the possibility of foul play.
