San Pablo, Zamboanga del Sur – A 20-years old Arjano Gonzaga y Pelonio, single and a resident of Purok Manga, Sacbulan voluntarily surrendered to the Barangay Tanod and was turned-over the following day to the Police Authorities for safekeeping after stabbing and hacking his friend.

The incident happened at 4:30 in the afternoon on August 21 at the same place. Police identified the victim as Edilberto Sabanal, 40 years old, married, farmer and neighbor of the suspect.

The suspect using a sharp bolo attacked the victim and suffered multiple hack wounds at his head, right arm, left shoulder, and other parts of his body and was rushed immediately to a hospital at Pagadian City.

Police is now filling appropriate charges against the suspect. The motive of the incident is a personal grudge, police disclosed.
