Aurora, Zamboanga del Sur – Tomas Basileo Jr., alias Jocel, single, laborer worker and a resident of Barangay Montela was shot to death by an unidentified gunman at Purok Doncillo, of the same Barangay last August 5, 2007 at about 9:30 in the evening.
The police report said the suspect shot the victim at his chest using a 12-gauge shotgun and fled toward an unknown direction.
The police initial investigation said that the lone assailant waylaid the victim while on his way home together with a couple, Danilo and Jennylyn Bekong with their daughter Irene Jane, from a videoke house in Barangay Balintawak, Aurora.
Danilo Bekong tried to chase the suspect who disappeared into the darkness. The motive of the incident is still unknown and the case is now under investigation by the Police of Aurora, Zamboanga del Sur.
