Dumingag, Zamboanga del Sur – A man was stabbed by his own wife while they were at their house in Barangay Manlabay, Dumingag on September 19, 2007 at 11:45 in the evening.
The victim identified as Rubin Mantos, 48-years old, who sustained a stab wound at his abdomen. He was rescued by the respoinding Barangay Bantay Bayan and was brought to Ozamiz City for medical treatment.
The wife identified as Grace Melyn Mantos, voluntarily surrendered to Barangay Captain Duller and later was turned-over to the Police authorities and temporarily detained while waiting for formal charges against her.
The motive of the incident is a family problem and misunderstanding.
