Molave, Zamboanga del Sur – A man was suddenly attacked and stabbed to death by an unidentified person while walking along the road of Pilapil compound, public market Molave, Zamboanga del Sur, on September 26, 2007 at 7:30 in the evening.He sustained a stab wound on his stomach and was rushed to Igano Community Hospital but died later after few minutes.
The victim is identified as Jerry Marquest. 39 years old, married, laborer and a resident of the said place Police investigation conducted by SP01 Mario Tagudin disclosed that the suspect used a hunting knife. He was able to flee after the incident but was identified later as Roger Cagas alias Loloy, a resident also of the same place. Police men lead by SP02 Primitibo Suizo under the supervision of Molave COP Police Chief Inspector Ranulfo Senajon with the coordination of the Bonifacio Municipal Police operatives conducted a hot pursuit operation against the suspect. The suspect was arrested the following day on September 27, 2007 at about 11:30 in the morning in Bonifacio, Misamis Occidental.
