“The Search for Miss Gay Pagadian 2008 is not just an ordinary search but it is also a world-class show in itself. But unlike the annual search for the most coveted title of Miss Pagadian, the city government, through its Tourism Office and Tourism Council headed by Dr. Prescilla “Dicky” Fernandez has decided to hold this pageant as one of the highlights of the Pasalamat Festival and Fiesta. As a way of deviating from the usual search, our participants who are just raring to display their pretty faces, curves, gait and other God-given talents, all come from the third sex,” Rey Cimafranca chair of the search told this writer.

“This pageant showcases the cream of the crop of the so called “in between” personalities. Notwithstanding the critics and flaws of our sector, we stand tall with stunning personalities that despite of what we are, we can make a positive difference in our community. Just like anybody, our sector deserves the right to be respected and loved. We are here expressing ourselves as active, participative, and sure partners of the government in nation building. Just like anyone, we also have a lot of dreams for the city of Pagadian. This activity is just one among the contributions of the gay sector in steering the city forward, Cimafranca explained.
