A Joint team from the PNP and NBI successfully arrested Ian Rey Abing and his companion in a raid conducted in the premises of Felimon Adino alias Ading at Monteverde Subdivision, Barangay Bulatok at about 1:40 pm of August 8, 2007.
Pagadian City Police Chief P/SInspt. Oscar Tan Buenaobra who lead the PNP operatives under the supervision of PNP Provincial Director P/SSupt Ramon Ochotorena and NBI Agent headed by Atty. Moises Tamayo recovered and confiscated from the suspects voluminous gambling paraphernalia like Tally sheets, Swertres tips, Betting sheets, 2-computers, cell phone and undetermined amount of money. Purok President Avelino Martinez who witnessed the search said that he has received information regarding the illegal activities within his area but it was only confirmed after the raid was conducted. The suspects are now detained at the City Police lock-up cell while the law enforcement agency preparing the filling of the case of violation of R.A.-9287 or Anti-illegal gambling against them.
