Zamboanga del Sur – “A minimum of P600-thousand pesos and with the maximum of P1-million will be allocated from my budget to each municipalities in Mindanao, it depends in the locality, area and needed for your priority projects”.

These are one of the promises told by Senator Juan Miguel F. Zubiri during his speech as guest speaker in the 55th founding anniversary of the province of Zamboanga del Sur coronation night on September 16, 2007.

Farm to Pocket Road 

“Here in Zamboanga del Sur, I will give P10-million project to Governor Auring Cerilles and to the municipalities. My only request from the local officials is that all projects will be a combination of school buildings or multi-purpose buildings and not road projects because it will become a "farm to pocket road" specially during rainy days the road will be missing, I wanted to have only a remembrance or a legacy to have a project in every municipality in Mindanao,” Zubiri told News and More on www.unsapa.com, in an interview.

For Pagadian City, Zubiri promised to give supports to Mayor Samuel Co request, multi-million projects for the relocation site of the squatters.

Migs expressed also during his speech his heartfelt thanks to all the people in Mindanao for the support given to him on the May 2007 elections as number three in Mindanao, the highest that he got all around in the Philippines He was number four in region-9, number one in region-10 and this is one of the reasons why he won as Senator last elections.

As a Senator from Mindanao, Zubiri promised to dedicate his 6-year terms by giving effective and efficient service to the people thru the implementations of the right projects in Mindanao.
