Pagadian City - Four suspects were arrested by responding Police operatives who conducted a hot pursuit operation after receiving reports of a robbery and snatching incident at Rizal Avenue, in the vicinity of the ongoing construction Gaisano Building, San Pedro District, this city on November 7, 2007 at about 8:45 in the evening.
The victim identified as Leonila Bacquilla, 31 years old, single, a Medical Technologist of Pagadian Diagnostic Center, and a resident of Lumbia District, Pagadian City, told the responding policemen from the City Police Station and 905th PMG operatives that while she was seating at the sidewalk of the said place, two unidentified persons riding in tandem in a single motorcycle, the back rider snatched her shoulder bag. The victim's shoulder bag, of color blue containing cash worth P30-thousand pesos, assorted IDs of PAMET, SSS, PRC and a wallet, color black, Resident Doctor Records Book and assorted keys. The suspects after snatching fled toward the direction of the Guillermo Hotel along Alano Street.
Based on the statement and description from the victim, the police operatives headed by Police Senior Inspector Oscar Tan Buenaobra successfully arrested the two suspects together with four other companions. They were identified later as: 1.PFC Marlon Lumagod Conde, single and a member of the Philippine Army assigned at 55thIB based in Jolo Sulu, 2.Jonathan Lumagod Conde, 3.Wilson LumagodEmpalanado, 4.Romeo Empalanado Alegado, 5.Jason Pulmano Tac-an and 6.Marven Orot Nalzaro. All five suspects were of legal ages, jobless and all residents of Barangay Bokong, Labangan, Zamboanga del Sur. Police recovered from their possession and control one unit single motorcycle Honda XRM color blue bearing plate number JJ4763 and one unit single motorcycle SYM brand color red with plate number JS9083.
