Pagadian City -  A couple and their 1-year old son was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician at the Zamboanga del Sur Provincial Hospital while four others were wounded in a vehicular traffic accident  at Benjamin F. Arao North Diversion Road, Barangay Bolatok at 5:45 pm, August 26, 2007.

Pagadian City Traffic Division identified the three fatalities as Luis Sandalan and Elizabeth Sandalan, couple and 40 years old, their son 1-year old David Lou Sandalan all residents of Barangay Bolatok.

Traffic investigation disclosed that the Toyota Jeep with plate number LJ 671 driven by PFC Dela Cruz a member o0f 547th Engineering Brigade station at Barangay Dao, this City, while heading in an Eastward direction accidentally lost control of his vehicle due to mechanical defect and swerved to the left side of the road hitting three pedestrians.

The passengers of the said Jeep were also injured and were identified as PFC Parido Motalam, PFC Rosdy Salngatin, PFC Allan Panalandang and PFC Wahid Maguda, all members of the 547 Engineering Brigade and now confined at the Pagadian City Medical Center.
