Dimataling, Zamboanga del Sur – Two suspects believed to be carnappers were apprehended while riding on a single motorcycle during the conduct of a joint police operations by the Lala, Lanao del Norte police operatives lead by SPO1 Teodoro Prociangans and Dimataling Police Station P/Inspt Ocas in Barangay Sugbay Uno, Dimataling Zamboanga del Sur on August 29, 2007 at about 8:00 in the morning.
The arrested suspects were identified as Jonas Largo y Balingit, 15 years old and a resident of Maranding, Lanao del Norte and Roel Lamonio, 21 years old, single and a resident of Sugbay Uno. Police operatives recovered from the suspect's possession a carnapped vehicle a Honda XRM 125, color red with chassis no. XRM 14013003 and engine no. 14E 013 without plate number. Also confiscated from the suspects was a caliber .38 revolver defaced SN with 3 live ammunition. The gun was used allegedly in shooting to death the driver/owner of a single motorcycle last August 19 at Barangay Reli, Lala, Lanao del Noter. In a related development, a Certain Esmael Addas, legas age and a resident of Poblacion Dimataling voluntarily surrendered to the said police group a Honda XRM 125, color blue, with chassis no. XRM12 0044 06372 and engine no. 5063272 without plate number. Esmael told to the police that he bought the said vehicle from the suspects for Twelve Thousand Pesos on August 19, 2007. The said vehicle was also carnapped in Barangay Malingao, Tubod Lanao, del Norte some time on the second week of August 2007. The two Honda motorcycles were brought to Lala Police Station, Lanao del Norte Police Provincial Office by the Joint Police Team for proper disposition and appropriate filling of cases against the suspects.
