Pagadian City – At least two persons were shot by two unidentified persons but both survived. They were brought to the hospital on September 17 2007 at 7:30 in the evening at Purok Campo Islam Leon Kilat, San Pedro District and are under critical condition.
Police identified the two victims as Fred Masukat Sumael and Mudin Quintal Mamatun both legal ages and residents of the same place. Sumael sustained two gunshot wounds at the stomach and buttock and was brought to Cooperative Hospital while Mamatun sustained a single gunshot at his neck. The bullet exited to his check. He was brought to the Pagadian City Medical Center
Initial investigation disclosed that while the two victims were standing on the road side when suddenly two suspects riding in tandem in a motorcycle without plate number shot them several times using an undetermined caliber of firearm and fled after the incident towards an unknown direction.
The motive of the incident was not yet established by the police authorities while the case is still under investigation.
