Dumalinao, Zamboanga del Sur – A wanted person was arrested at Guipos, Zamboanga del Sur after almost two years of hiding against the law on October 8, 2007 at 2:00 in the afternoon.

Emelio Calderon, Jr. legal age, married, jobless and a resident of Barangay Sumadat, Dumalinao was arrested by the joint police operatives of Guipos Police Station and Dumalinao Police Station Lead by Dumalinao OIC COP Police Inspector Joel del Mundo Nosa.

The suspect has a long standing warrant of arrest issued by Honorable Judge Renerio Abraham Ramas, presiding judge of Regional Trial Court Branch 19 at Pagadian City dated November 15, 2006 for the crime of murder under criminal case number 7917 2k6.

Emelio was implicated in the killing of the late MSgt Benigno Maramag, a retired Philippine Army member and Samson Paloma sometime on November 12, 2005 at Dumalinao, Zamboanga del Sur. Calderon was immediately brought and detained in the Provincial Jail, Pagadian City.
