22 YEAR-OLD Gilberto Ocampo was arrested by the City PNP after a hold-up victim identified him as the robber at around 9:00 p.m. last April 6.

Police record shows that while the victim a certain Edniel Magamay, 18, and a resident of Bersales Subdivision in Barangay Bulatok, Pagadian City was walking along Purok Mahigalaon of the said barangay at around 7:00 p.m. of the same date, he was suddenly robbed at gunpoint by the suspect who used a caliber .38 revolver and who took his cellular phone.

Magamay was able to identify the robber through his face and immediately reported to the city police for assistance.

Immediately, the City PNP responded to the incident and conducted a hot pursuit operation against the robber and at about 9:00 p.m., they were able to spot the said robber at Purok Chico Hills of the same barangay.

Ocampo is now detained at the Pagadian City lock up cell for proper disposition while awaiting proper charges to be filed in court.
