Pagadian City – With the recent political noise in Metro Manila due to the  expose’ of the NBN deal star witness, Rodolfo Lozada Jr., including the alleged involvement of some officials in Malacañang, Zamboanga del Sur Governor Aurora E. Cerilles appealed for ZamboSurians to remain calm while awaiting results  of the on-going Senate investigation.

Cerilles said that calls for the   resignation of President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo coming from some sectors of society is unethical and uncalled for because it will not settle the controversy. The opposition  and her detractors should cease to issue undue remarks since she was elected  through the people’s mandate.

The governor made her remarks before local officials, sports coordinators, coaches, and the media in a press conference held during the  Private Athletic Association (PRISAA) Meet held at Alindahaw Hotel.

Cerilles said, they represent only a fragmented portion of the society and does not reflect the sentiment of the majority of the Filipino people.

“What about the voice of Visayas and Mindanao?, ” Cerilles added.

“I think, we should stop doing this desperate move for it is not good for our economy ,” Cerilles said.  “We want her to finish her term, since she only has two (2) yrs. to complete,” Cerilles exclaimed.

She said that rallies and  demonstrations do no good and it will adversely affect our growing economy.
