THE HAPPY HEARTS Child Development Center, Inc. conducted a 3-day training workshop on “Creative and Developmentally Appropriate Practices in Teaching Young Children” to its pre-school, kindergarten, elementary (Grades 1 & 2) teachers last May 21-23 at its homeground along Roxas Street, Pagadian City.
This was learned over the weekend from School Director Milagros L. Padayhag who said that the Happy Hearts Child Development Center will conduct a yearly upgrading of skills of its teaching staff with the recent development in teaching of early childhood education. This year’s training workshop was conducted by Ms. Charmaine Ramiro-Gaa, a former faculty member of the University of the Philippines-Family Life and Child Development and UNICEF/DSWD training facilitator. In line with the creative curriculum, implemented only by the learning center, the teachers mastered instructional strategies that take into account the four important domain in child development namely: Physical, Social, Emotional and Cognitive which include hands-on experience on puppetry, storytelling with voice variation and more creative music and movement activities, Padayhag said. The center is proud to announce that with its upgraded facilities, new set of classrooms and learning materials, it is confident that it can provide not only quality but standardized education system to its pupils, Padayhag said.
