 COP P/Inspector Etbew is a graduate of Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) Class 99, his first assignment was in Dipolog, Zamboanga del Norte under the Regional Mobile Group (RMG) then was assigned in the 2nd Congressional District of Zamboanga del Sur as Group Director of the 907th Provincial Mobile Group (PMG) based in the municipality of San Miguel for almost one year. Before his assignment here at Pagadian City he was the Acting COP of Aurora, Zamboanga del Sur Municipal Police Station for more than one month.
“To all the people of Pagadian, please give us your full support as what you did to the previous COP's and I assure you my full commitment to do my job as your new COP. To all lawless elements, please don’t play your game here in my area of responsibility, kung takot kayo sa dating hepe kailangan matakot rin kayo sa akin because I will not tolerate you to make business here in the city. I am very thankful also to our City Mayor, Samuel Co for the all out support especially for the additional firearms, six 9mm pistol issued to some policemen,” COP Etbew told media men during the press conference.
We have good relations with the Philippine Army through the effort of Mayor Co who requested the support of the Commanding General of the First Tabak Division, MGeneral Pajarito for the augmentation of Army troops especially now we are celebrating the Fiesta of our saint patron Sto. Niño. We are using the buddy system with the Philippine Army in patrolling around the city, giving more police visibility, COP Etbew disclosed.
It was recalled that Mayor Co issued ten firearms, 9mm pistols last year to the policeman and additional six on Tuesday January 15, 2008. Co also gave rice allowance to the members of the Pagadian City Police Station and incentives for every arrest of lawless elements.
It was learned that the crime rate in the city for 2007 was reduced compared to the previous year 2006. Hopefully, we will reduce the crime rate more for the year 2008 with our new chief of police, Inspector Etbew, Mayor Co also disclosed. Last update : 21-01-2008 18:06
