The National Youth Commission is now accepting applications for qualified youth to join the Ship for Southeast Asean Youth Program (SSEAYP) which is an international commitment of the Philippine government to the ASEAN region.
Mr. Raymond B. Domingo, NYC Regional Head said the program started 34 years ago with the joint statement of ASEAN countries and Japan. This is where the youth from ASEAN countries and Japan come together to foster friendship and cultural understanding, Domingo continued.Accordingly, selected delegates would live on board a Japanese luxury liner and visit participating countries where they get involved in various activities that increase their awareness and appreciation of each other’s culture, traditions, institutions and family life. SSEAYP is being implemented by the Office of the President through the NYC. Now on its selection phase, the program is open to all qualified youth. Application forms are available at PIA Regional Office 9, Urro Street, Pagadian City, however, applicants may also call NYC telephone number 062-9924851 or its mobile number 09177108137.
