Born on January  31, 1988, Irene lives in San Jose District Pagadian City with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Rolando Monieva. Irene stands 5 ft and 6 in. and weighs 55kgs.Her vital statistic is 33-25-34. Her father is a city government employee and her mother is the one who takes good care of them.  Irene is the youngest of the girls from a brood of 6 and has one brother younger than her.

What you love most when your not busy?

        “I love to read books, everything under its cover…to know facts and story because it can widens my knowledge. I also love Tae-Dwan-Do as my favorite sport because it taught me self-discipline, and also to be able to protect myself in case of trouble.”

Irene's favorite colors are white, black, red and yellow and she is not choosy when it comes to food.

“Basta dili lang sya poisonous.”she giggles.

Do you have a boyfriend?

With her beauty and talent she already has a serious relationship for 4 years.

        “He is responsible and God-fearing.” she quips. Irene is not after the looks of a man but what she loves most is the inner attributes of his being.

Yes, friendship for her is a good and fun relationship with her friends of course.  She likes honest, intelligent and friendly persons.  But she hates backbiter, "Brutus" and a liar.  Irene is a simple, respected, refined woman, characterized with her strong motivation in life, self determination and  is God-fearing.

What are your ambitions in life?

Who invited you to join the search for Ms. Pagadian 2007??

        “Someone forced me to …my make-up artist Ramil Talibong” (Irene call him Kuya).

However, Irene realizes that this is a big opportunity for her to join the contest because she is a beautiful and competitive lady. For her, it is a big opportunity , “I have no regrets”.

Irene has a big heart when it comes to contests like this. She has joined and won in beauty contests before like: Ms PCNHS Intramurals – 1st runner up, Ms. San Jose – 1st runner up. She was crowned in the following competitions Ms. Datagan, Ms. SMC ATHLETICS, Ms. Dumingag, Ms. Bikini Summer Watch, Ms. Pagadian–Miss Talent and magic 5 in Ms. Zamboanga Sibugay – as 2nd runner up. She got the award off Darling of the Press, Best Swimwear, Ms. Rejoice and Best in Gown and lastly repeated Ms. Pagadian – 2nd runner up.

        “But this competition is a big event for me because I’ve done so much preparation. I really exerted effort and time and I performed it very well. It was unlike the Ms. Zamboanga Sibugay search where I was not really prepared and felt very tired because of the incessant traveling required“.

What did you feel when you became the 2nd Runner Up?

        "Ohhh,  I am not down,…My feeling right now of course is that I am proud and very happy".

How do you rate yourself? During  the search?

         "Before, I rated myself 90% but during the rehearsal I reached 98% and the best thing is that I’ve learned so many things such as being confident in stage and of course dealing with other people (the other candidates)."

What advice can you give to young beautiful girls who look up at you?

        "To all the young girls who wants to be like me, I encourage you to join beauty contests. But one thing you must do is to train yourself with confidence and  you should be to  be true to yourself. And “tan-awon jud nimo if asa jud imong linya na belong because it is not easy to become a beauty queen “(she laughs).

What do your parent says about your plans?

        "I am proud to have a parents like my mama and papa, they are very supportive of my activities, like competing in this events. They support me in whatever my ambitions are in life with their blessings of course".

And we can be sure that Mr. and Mrs. Monieva is also very proud of their daughter Irene, Ms. Pagadian 2007 2nd RunnerUP.
