Karem Zamoras, a 3rd Year Bachelor of Science in Maritime Engineering of the Zamboanga del Sur Maritime Institute of Technology (ZSMIT) died  seven hours later after he was rushed to the Pagadian City Medical Center after his driven single motorcycle, Honda TMX with plate number JH 6218 smashed a Honda Civic 2006 with plate number KDL 147, owned by a policeman.

The Pagadian City PNP Office-Traffic Investigation Unit who rushed to the scene reported that the said student driver who was later identified as the victim is with his friend, a certain Yoyong Agner, a resident of Kawayan, Alicia, Zamboanga Sibugay as his backseat passenger who was also rushed to the said hospital.

However the victims were transfered to the Zamboanga del Sur Integrated Provincial Hospital for recovery, but Zamoras died seven hours later from massive head and body injuries while Agner is still in unstable situation.

The owner of the Honda Civic, SPO2 Beinvinido Lumaad of the PNP Provincial Command was together with his wife Mrs. Analyn Lumaad of Alta Tiera, Napolan, Pagadian City, said in an interview that they were shocked when a fast running motorcycle hit them on the driver side of their vehicle while they were crossing the intersection of Urro and F. S. Pajares Avenue near the San Jose Catholic Church. They were coming from the direction of B.F. Arao Avenue.

"The cars windshield was shattered to pieces while I applied pressure on my brakes as I noticed that my wife was already shouting for help. She suffered some minor injuries from the pieces of broken glass. The physicians in the hospital however said that she is okay.", SPO2 Lumaad said

Meanwhile, Traffic Police Officers who investigated the crime confirmed that the victims were alledgely drunk and driving like mad as they were also noticed by some witnesses along the said corner.  They further disclosed that  Zamoras has no driver's license and registration papers.

The two vehicles are now impounded in the City PNP Station for further investigation.
