 Picture is a similar IED bomb that explode in a Plaza in Zamboanga City last August 21,2007 Fourteen persons were wounded when a bomb exploded at a plaza in Zamboanga City. PNP and government law enforcers said that the bombing is allegedly a sympathy attack as the government forced it all out war against Abu Sayaff Group and other terrorist groups involved in the ambush and beheading of 10 Philippine Marines last July 10, in Al Bharka, Tipo-tipo, Basilan and the continued fighting in Sulu.
Authorities are now warning all government institutions, public places, and school to be watchful against this bomb attacks as an all out war had been raged in the said areas. Sympathy attacks simply means a terrorist retaliation to make the government aware that they are not only fighting the armed group in Basilan and Sulu but all over Mindanao. Sources said.
