Both dead bodies were hog tied by the use of tie wires and their mouth covered with packing tape. Both sustained gunshot wounds at their head and different parts of their bodies that apparently caused their death. See the video here .

Policemen from Sector 1 responded to the crime scene led by the team leader SP02 Abraham Sumicad identified one of the victims through his tattoo at his left arm marked with bold letters Samion Sumadia and a Barangay Certificate recovered from the victim’s wallet issued to him by the Barangay Captain of Barangay Langilan, San Miguel, Zamboanga del Sur. Samion is wearing white t-shirt and blue short pants with yellow stripes. He also has a tattoo marked BM29 at his right buttock and a snake tattoo at his right arm up to his shoulder. The other victim was unidentified wearing violet polo shirt and green long short pant. Both victims were brought to St. Peter Funeral home.

“We heard seven gunshots at about 1:45 a.m.,” residents from Barangay Nazareth said.

Records from the police blotter on January 24, 2008 show that Sammy Sicad Sumadia a.k.a. Samion, 24 years old, married, jobless and a resident of Jamisola Street, together with a certain Jamcy Sumadia Nanding, 18 years old, single, jobless and a resident of Limonan, San Miguel, Zamboanga del Sur was caught on the act by two security guards of Southern Mindanao College (SMC) Main Campus at about 4:00 o’clock dawn stealing one unit Steel Cabinet at BSIE Room.

The said two suspects were turned over to Police Sector 3 led by SP03 Calgas and were brought to the Police Station and detained at the lock-up cell at about 4:45 dawn but they were released at about 5:10 in the afternoon on the same day. It was not yet determined if the other dead body is that of Jamcy Sumadia Nanding as of press time.

The same method of killing was also used by killers who dumped another dead body about a week before this shooting. The dead body was also recovered in the same area.
