Mayor Co called a meeting with businessmen to get their reaction and decision regarding the petition. The businessmen requested the mayor to retain COP Buenaobra.

Hilabina sa nahitabo pananglitan nga gisita si Buenaobra kabahin sa armas unya COP gud pud na siya unya morag wala sila maanad kay sila gud ang tig inspection sa armas, hinoon ila man pud tong discretion diha sa justice hall kay ila mang teritoryo ug makahimo man sila ug kaugalingon nga polisiya, pero kung nakasala man galing si Buenaobra “sabotabol” nga sala, dili sala nga tinoyo jud kayo”. Mayor Co said.

(trans.: All of us can make mistakes, may we be a lawyer, doctor, politician - nobody is exempted especially when our pride is at stake. It was learned that Mayor Co also personally wrote a letter for the retention of COP Buenaobra;

Didto jud ta magdaug sa justice system, but with the minor incident it thus not warrant that the only solution is to relieve the chief of police compared to the accomplishments he has done. Simply said I would be very reasonable - tolerable or not tolerable the mistake that was done. All of us know that the peace and order condition have improved very much.” Co said.

 (trans.: Of course I respect the decision of the courts because they were aggrieved but I don’t think they will be upset if I take action for the retention of Buenaobra. Their manifesto is an action to show the Police that they (Judiciary) cannot be taken lightly like what has happened so that we will respect the Justice Hall.
