Pagadian City – City Mayor Samuel S. Co ordered Chief of Police P/SInspt. Oscar Tan Buenaobra to conduct further investigation and the immediate arrest of the suspect of the killing of a Fish Port employee identified as Arsenio Paquibot y Aying, 54, married and a resident of Paglaum Village, Tuburan District this city. Paquibot is reportedly the Chief of Security of the Fish Port.
It was recalled that at 8:00 in the morning of August 23, the victim while on his way to the Fish Port was driving his single Yamaha DT motorcyle. Upon reaching the vicinity of New Tudela, San Pedro District, the two unidentified gunmen coming from the opposite direction shot him. The gunmen were wearing bonnet, riding in tandem in a single Honda motorcycle, color blue without plate number. Police investigation disclosed that the suspect used a caliber .45 pistol based on the three empty shells recovered from the crime scene. Two rounds of live ammunition and one deformed slug of cal.45 was also recovered by the police operatives. Paquibot sustained gunshot wounds at different parts of his body and was brought to the Pagadian Medical Center. He was pronounced dead on arrival by the attending physician.
