A Security Guard had his left wrist dangling and was seriously wounded after he was shot with a 12 gauge shotgun by his fellow security guard besides Metrobank Rizal Branch parking area at 8:25 early morning of November 20, 2007 along Alano Street corner Rizal Avenue, San Francisco District, this City.
Both victim and suspect were security guards employed by the Royal Mandarin Security Agency. They were assigned at the Armored Van owned by Armored Transportation Plus Incorporated (ATPI) which provides armored van services to Metrobank.
 
The Victim is identified as Roel Deluna Mutia, 30 years old, single, security/driver of the armored van and a resident of Galas, Dipolog City temporarily residing at his uncle's residence at Sun Rise Subdivision, Barangay Tiguma, Pagadian City. Roel sustained gunshot wounds at his left wrist with multiple gunshot wounds at the left side of his stomach probably from pellets of the shotgun round.

The suspect is identified as Edmar Dumpit Soriano, 44 years old, married, a security escort of the armored van and a resident of Upper Pulacan, Labangan, Zamboanga del Sur.

“We panicked inside the building during the shoot-out, because some of the bullets were able to penetrate into our office. We don’t know if we were robbed or what when we saw the wounded security guard enter our building and asked for help,” a bank employee who took care of the victim at the hospital told this writer.

“We are not yet open when the incident happened,” Lilie L. Niez, Metro Bank branch manager also told this writer in an interview, when asked if the bank management will file legal action against both security guards. “We are not planning to file any charges, they are not our employees and are just providing with armored van services.

Police initial investigation disclosed that both security guards were having an altercation regarding the key of their armored van resulting in the shot-out. After a few minutes of exchange of gun fire, Roel who is armed with a caliber 38 revolver was hit at his left wrist and abdomen and managed to go inside the Metro Bank until he fell down to the floor bathed in his owned blood. The employees panicked at Mutia's entry but he was able to get help from the employees inside.

Edmar who is armed with a 12 gauge shotgun was arrested by the responding Police operatives while still outside the Metro Bank building, and was brought to the Police Station.

Roel survived after was rushed to the Pagadian City Medical Center although his left wrist was amputated when he was operated by the doctors.
