Two of the victim’s brothers who were at the vicinity were also wounded. Glen Tac-an,14 years old (right, picture below) was wounded in his stomach and elbow, while Rodel Tac-an, 16 years old (left, picture below) was hit in his thigh. It was unclear who fired at them as of this moment. Both were rushed to the Provincial Hospital.

In an interview with Chief of Police PSI Oscar Buenaobra, it was learned that the deceased is a member of a cult group, the Sagrada Corazon de Jesus. Other members of the cult group led by a certain Teodoro Abella y Enerio, 60 years old, the alleged Supremo together with Consolacion Tac-an, Reynaldo Tac-an, Edith Maglangit, Benjamin Sagusay confirmed that the victim was a member of the Sagrada Corazon de Jesus.

“We are conducting a thorough investigation of the case. I know that this group is pro-government, but this time they crossed the line” PSI Buenaobra said.

Meanwhile, NBI Provincial Chief Atty. Moises Tamayo said that “the government has laws to be followed. Brandishing bladed weapons outside residence is “mala phohibita” or punishable by law”.
